How to create a team
A team has two drivers, a chassis, an engine and tyres. You will need all these components to complete your team and play the F1 Fantasy game.
You can only use one part of every Formula One team in your own team. For example: if you buy Jenson Button you cannot also buy the Honda engine he uses as they are part of the same team.
Every F1 Player receives a budget of 100 million. To start your team you must buy two drivers, a chassis, an engine and a set of tyres with that budget. The prices of all these components are fixed before the start of the season but will fluctuate during the season according to their performance.
If a driver has to miss a race for whatever reason and he will be replaced and you will not earn points with the substituted driver. So you should make a transfer as soon as the next transfer window opens.
You can join the competition at any point during the season but must be a member of our forum to do so (registering with the forum is free) and you shall only be eligible to score points from the race following your entry.
All entries/transfers must be received prior to the start of qualifying to be valid for scoring points during that Grand Prix weekend.
All entries/transfers should be sent by forum PM to Lee, our Fantasy League Manager. If you are having any problems submitting your entry by PM, then you can email them to fantasyleaguemanager@formula1home.com. The time date group marked on the email must be before the deadline).
Team values
As a player you can spend 100 million at the start of the season. With this budget you will have to buy two drivers, an engine, a chassis and tyres.
With every race you will earn money for every point you score. Every point you score in a race will earn you $50,000 So the more points you score with your team in the Formula One race the more money you will earn.
At the start of the season every driver, chassis, engine and tyre has a fixed value. During the season the values of the drivers, chassis and engines will go up and down when they do well, or not. For example when a driver wins a race his value will go up by 9 million. Should he finish last, his value will fall by 9 million which will make him much cheaper to buy. The maximum value of a driver is 150 million and the minimum of a driver is 1 million. If your driver cannot race his value will remain the same
You can spend the money you earn throughout the season to improve your team and try to score more points during the F1 season.

Scoring points
The F1 Fantasy game has 18 rounds; every Grand Prix this season is a round in the F1 Fantasy game. Every round you can score points in qualifying and the race. In the scoring overview you can see how the points are distributed for each qualifying and race position.
The number of points you have scored will decide your position in the F1 Fantasy standings. If, at the end of the season, two or more players end with the same number of points the player who has the biggest budget left will win.

Making changes to your team
After every second race you can make changes to your team. You can sell a driver and buy a driver who might score more points for you in the next few races. The transfer market will not be open until 72 hours after the end of every second race, and the transfer market will close as soon as qualifying starts.
If you would like to change your driver, chassis, engine or tyres you will first have to sell one of them before you can buy a replacement. If you sell you will receive 90% of the current value of what you are selling.
Before each transfer window you will find a complete overview of the values of drivers, engine, chassis and tyres on the Main Site under "FANTASY F1" along with your current budget.
